V-BAT + CCM
V-BAT Maritime take off and Landing
Overview
This cinematic animation was created at the request of the Shield AI marketing team to demonstrate the V-BAT aircraft autonomously taking off and landing on a Combatant Craft Medium (CCM) operating in open ocean conditions. The goal was to produce a realistic visualization with accurate physics, including ocean movement, vessel motion, and aircraft takeoff and landing dynamics. I studied real V-BAT takeoff and landing behavior before hand-animating the flight sequence. The scene included detailed water and vessel wake simulation, which was particularly challenging due to the complexity of ocean physics and fluid behavior. Ocean surface dynamics, vessel movement, and wake interaction were simulated to realistically portray the maritime operating environment.
